Another busy week has wrapped up at Danville School. Students continue to settle into the school year, classroom and building routines.
This week in ELA, we wrapped up Fountas and Pinnell testing and will begin our first reading unit with the book Holes by Louis Sachar next week. In Global Citizenship, we have been building some background knowledge on the Age of Exploration and will soon be tackling the American Revolution. We had a guest performer stop by for the 6-12th grade students on Wednesday afternoon, Jared Campbell, a musician, that gave an outstanding performance. We will be starting to create a classroom newsletter next week. Students will gradually take ownership of the different sections of the newsletter and we will highlight one or two students each week. Have a great weekend! Mr. DeCaro |
